What would be the harm in leaving the valve open if I had a residential toilet using about 1.5 gallons to flush, I know that that is highly ill advised with the current toilet and those toilets use a trickle of water comparatively, I could also make it a habit to run the tank rinse system once a week.
But wouldn't a residential flush the tank every time I flushed the toilet with the amount of water they use? BTW I have an aerobic septic system on this property, my system never smells at all, even when I uncover the first tank. I had a talk with my inspector about this and he says that that means that minimal gases build up as opposed to a traditional field line system, plus I could just add a vent on that tank cap, and also with a residential toilet there is a P trap, so no gas intrusion into the trailer and as for the grey tanks being open too? I see no problem with that either, again P traps and also tank vents.
Guys I really appreciate any feedback, but I'm not backing down from this idea. I hate RV toilets, the bowls are to small and also taking cold water to the no no parts with a courtesy flush isn't my idea of a pleasant experience. I also plan to never use this to travel, I'm treating it as a small mobile home, which btw are much nicer than mobile homes.
Still want to know about that 9-3/4 rough in.
