I only have two comments:
1. the only way to be sure you have the correct weight is to weigh it.
2. I live in the country. Within 7 miles of my house there are:
2 gravel pits with full length certified scales
2 scrap yards with certified scales
2 (maybe 3) truck stops with Cat certified scales
A couple more miles brings me to a grain elevator that has certified scales.
It just isn't that difficult for many people to find scales.
Evidently you misinterpreted my point, or I am missing your point completely.
I was not about to go and weigh every TT we might have been interested in. I don't feel that should be up to me but up to the seller.
And, if you live in the "country" then I must live in the boonies. Closet store to the house is 10 miles away. Closest real town is 25 miles away. Closest city is 46 miles away.
Most times I feel I live to close to civilization.
