The problem is most motor homes are not set up for the "LATCH" child seat system (no top mounted attachment point) but.. That does not really add that much to the safety.. The side facing couch in most RV has a pair of seat belts under it.
My daughter started camping with us while still in diapers, though a bit older than your youngest as I recall... She road in her regular child seat in the back seat same as going to the store, or doctors or lunch or wherever.
But that was pulling a trailer.
1.5 is a bit younger than what I normally see in camp grounds, but not all that much.. Just keep an eye on 'em. Kids like to pet Canines and not all of them like strangers petting them... Even felines can be mighty unfriendly on occasion. That is the major danger I think.
