Prescriptions on the road
My husband has to take strong painkillers for his back problem. How do you travel more than one month and get your medicines refilled? Especially in other states? We live in Texas.

Then you should be able to get your MD to Escribe to any pharmacy in USA. It is easiest if you stick with one pharmacy such as Walgreen's or Walmart.
You just need to let the provider KNOW the exact address of the pharmacy you want to pick up from. Staying with one brand pharmacy means that they will be able to see that you do this regularly and are not scamming for narcotics.
WE prefer Walgreen's and have had zero problems since going with them exclusively.
The only other alternative is to have someone pick them up at a local pharmacy and Priority mail them to you. You have the package held for you at the post office. Not all post offices hold mail but generally the little towns still do This is not legal but we used to do it before escribe came along.
We have done this for my wifes back narcotics until this year when she found a pain management doctor who gave her some non-steroidal shots and she has been narcotic free for 7 months now. She was on Oxycontin for 6 years and previously went to pain specialists for injections
