I am pretty sure the OP asked the question would it be okay to ASK HIS NEIGHBOR if he could run a cord over to his electrical box.
My guess would be if your furnace was set on 55 degrees for the night it would not run enough to discharge your 2 batteries below 60 or 50%. Probably depends on exactly what series/type batteries you have and how big your furnace is.
