Quick inverter question
We haven't been camping in so long I forgot ... when hooked up to shore power, inverter on or off. And what exactly does it do again?

Your TV/sat receiver probably needs 120vac to work. Not sure about the antenna but I think it runs on 12vdc. Did your lights work with the genny off? They are 12vdc.
Most RVs don't come with an inverter. Some high end Class As have an inverter/converter. Unless you have an inverter you won't have any 120vac unless you are plugged in to shore power or on generator power.
