Sounds like a great plan for a young family. There should be a lot of good sound used class Cs out there 8-10 yrs old with low miles that can be bought for 10-12K. You can get an older small toad and still do it within your budget. The first class C I bought was 10 yrs old and with a tune up, a little fix-up to the inside and new tires we were ready to go. Drove it many miles without a major problem but fixed the normal stuff myself. This is only a good idea if you are fairly mechanically experienced becuase I've found having these rigs repaired can quickly turn into big bucks especially if your out in the boonies.
