My wife and I didn't look around a lot. We talked strategy on the way to the dealer's. "We're not going to commit to anything today. We're just looking," I said. "Right," she replied. As soon as we saw the Chinook, we found a private moment and said, "Oh yeah, we gotta make an offer on this." Sure enough we got it, and everything turned out well but that was partly dumb luck.
Much as we love it, maybe when we retire Scout won't be a perfect fit any more. Right now, we're both working so it's weekend getaways and parking a 21 foot unit in downtown areas is great. But if we retire and we're in a place for more than a day or two, that couch/bed transformation on a daily basis won't be convenient. We're in no position to retire for awhile, so it's all good.
