A drop of under 3 percent would be ideal, under 5 percent acceptable.
10 gauge wire should be suitable for a run of 25 or even 50 feet. You should use receptacles rated for the 30 amp load. I am not sure when you are going to use this. In campgrounds, I have never needed an extension cord. I have used an extension cord when staying in the driveway at a relative's house. The problem is the service is typically only 15 or 20 amps. With or without an extension cord, I can power my RV but I can only use one appliance such as A/C, or space heater, or water heater, or microwave. Trying to use 2 appliances will likely trip the household circuit breaker.
