So purging the line by lighting the stove is necessity? Or can I just turn the valve on the tanks to on and go? Seems like there is two trains of thought here.
Fridge has a very small orifice for main flame (2200 btu/hr or smaller)
Propane system is only 0.4 psi
When propane system has not be used for awhile the regulator is 'closed' and no demand is being called for.....system is stagnant.
When placing in service a 'demand' for propane is needed and a 'flow' needs to be established (LP Reg opens/propane flows)
Fridge burner places very little demand and controls will make 3 attempts to light off then 'lock out'
Stove top burners place a much larger demand and are manual (5000-6000 btu/hr PLUS high output burner at 9000 btu/hr)
So light all stove top burners on High.....get the propane flowing
Then light off fridge in 'auto' by unplugging it (no AC power) or by swapping to 'gas' mode
It may still need a few attempts to get main flame lite/established just due to small flame ('Check' light might come on.turn fridge Off then back ON to reset/retry)
