Why is this SOoooooooooo difficult.
OPs Girl friend is NOT comfortable with the propane system/use.
She is going alone with the kids.....towing/traveling with the kids is enough w/o added 'burden' of a "GAS System" she is not comfortable with.
For us and others it is second hand....easy peasy
But OP is ASKING about NOT using propane at this time ....just if fridge will stay cold.
I'm not at all sure why its sooooooooooooooooooooo difficult. It shouldn't be, certainly not for the GF. She literally does nothing except plug in the trailer at campground and unplug when she leaves. Sure doesn't sound difficult to me.
On the other hand, trying to determine how cold his fridge will get initially, how cold it will be with items placed inside, how long it will maintain the cold temperatures, how hot the ambient temps will be, what side of the camper the fridge is on versus what side the sun is shining upon, the quality of the sealing on the fridge to maintain the temps, etc seems WAY more difficult. But what do I know.
If the GF and kids get food poisoning, its pretty safe to say the fridge didn't stay cold enough.
