Renting RV with driver for overnight sleeping trips

Our family of 2 adults and 4 children is visiting the US west coast next year from Europe and are thinking of a road trip. Unfortunately time is short (10-14 days) and the places to visit are many so ...

What about train service like Amtrak? They have sleeper cars. Can just do trips from one place to another, rent a car. Stay in hotel or lodges in between. Take a train to another spot, etc...
