running lights on the trailer

I have a 2014 chevy silverado z71 4x4 with trailer towing package. It has a 5.3 v8. When i hook up my trailer I don't have any running lights. I took it back to the dealer and they tested the trailer on another vehicle and they worked fine. Any suggestions?
  • Thanks everyone for your replys. It was a fuse. When we got the trailer I never checked the running lights as the dealer was supposed to have checked them. I always check for turn signals and stop light. We never travel at night but coming back from Austin early one morning I noticed no running lights. May have blown a fuse when they installed the brake control which is a plug and play type.
  • If you are referring to the Daylght Running Lights, I don't think they are hooked up to your tail lights or trailer lights. I have an 04 and that is the way they work. See if the tail lights on the truck are burnng, if so those on the trailer should too ( unless wiring problem )

I too carry one of these in my tool box... Always great to know if the problem is with the truck or the trailer.

    I ordered mine from ETRAILER...

Also sometimes you might dirt or something in the truck 7-way connector.

I usually just squirt some WD-40 into the connector before I hookup then work my 7-way plug around a bit,
