OK for starters,
Do you have a tow vehicle?
Jayco has been the best selling brand in many years, quality is average to maybe slightly above by most comments I have seen.
At $6000 you are looking at a 6-20 year old TT, look at each manufacturers website, try to verify the "low end" models in each and avoid them. Once you are looking at mid grades, they are mostly pretty similar at that age. They all used the same appliances and methods.
Key is avoid water damage, Verify operation in all modes of all appliances, and try to find one that appears to have had gentle use. There are some good ones, but make sure your Truck can tow it before offering anything.
For what its worth, you may find some more motivated sellers in the fall, after camping season.
