No I've sat and watched some of the cheap rv living videos. Bob Wells interviews folks who for varying reasons choose very Spartan lives. Many times living out of vans or campers, all on BLM lands for as little as $600 - $800 a month. Many are retirees or disabled, so incomes force the lifestyle.
OP seems to have left, hopefully he will talk to g/f and really look at what they are trying to do. I have a feeling he thought they could work camp maybe gate guard maybe camp host, but he doesn't realize they don't normally hire folks with older rough looking rigs. And after having lived for a couple years with his grandmother they likely don't know what things cost.
