Wow, I put my toe in the water and it is HOT! But, I'll jump in for second anyway! LOL!
AceRV, I'll just touch on the camper issue with a teeny bit of financial advice.
My niece (age 40) just bought a 30ish ft. fifth-wheel for $6,500. Very clean, a little updating has been done. She is using it at her father's marina for a weekend place about 120 miles from her home.
I was actually surprised at how nice her 5th-wheel is with a queen bed over the hitch area and a nice dinette and sofa in a slide-out. She does not any plans of ever moving it.
So, this brings me to the subject of 'work-camping'. I'm not sure after reading all of these posts if you even said what your job will be, but, you might want to think of work-camping to off-set your monthly costs along with your regular job.
A couple, like you and your fiance, could split the duties while maintaining your school/job situation.
Good luck and don't run off, I would be interested in what you decide moving forward.
