Teachers not wanting to be near kids on their vacations? Just wait! My wife and I retired from teaching almost a year ago. Full-timing now. I truly enjoyed the profession, but my students were much more respectful towards me than most were to their parents. Something I see far too often in public places. We support 55+ where available. We always choose locations and parks, not to mention the timing of our visits, that minimize family occupancy. If parents only did their jobs as well as most teachers . . . We wouldn't be going out of our way to avoid them.
