- Ed_GeeExplorer IIThere is a reason they call it a DUMP fee. Covers the cost of waste treatment or hauling off. Should be no charge for fresh water, but as others have said, I'd be real cautious using a dump site's fresh water. I've seen RVers stick the fresh water hose in their septic tubes. I never get water from a dump site.

Or the RVer who used the dump station before you? Some people are real hogs. - Guy_RoanExplorerYou better make sure it is potable water before using it as such.
I have been to some dump stations where the water is not potable
I know I have never and never will fill my fresh water tank at a dump station
Guy - WalabyExplorer III imagine it depends on the particular policy at said dump station.

Mike - monkey44Nomad IIBy definition, a 'dump fee' would apply to dumping.
Never heard of a separate ' FW water only' fee'? Although most often with RVs, a dump station would be at the same location and include dumping waste and filling FW tanks. - jthrvExplorerTypically it is ?
- LwiddisExplorer IIBest policy is to ask. I want the availability so a small fee is appropriate. Water, hoses, clean up isn’t free to the business owner.
- Vw_trikerExplorerAlways best to ask at the location.
