What BB_TX said is true. If you are planning to use "resorts" throughout your trip, that may come into play, but if you are planning to use local, state and national parks, you shouldn't have any problems.
We have stayed a couple of times in them, but it was because of the location and we only stayed a day or two. The prices per night usually price me out of them.
