Two Honda 2000I's have worked well for us and are only 42 pounds each so fairly easy to move around and store also when paralleled together gives you over 4k watts, most of the time we used one just to charge the batteries or run the microwave and only used the two of them together for the ac when needed. We used plastic coated cables with eyes on each end and combination locks to secure both or one to the trailer and carried them in a bed high locked tool box in the bed of the truck when not in use, now have a onboard generator with the TC but may still take one of the 2000's along since they make much less noise to charge batteries when the solar cant keep up. With an extended run fuel tank you can get many hours of run time on one or both of the smaller generators and only need to carry the one fuel tank,
