We also never emptied the HW tank, till this year. For some reason, If the trailer sits unused for more than 2 weeks with water in the HW heater, when we go out next, we too have a minor smell when using the water at first..
Only on the Hot side, so I take the few minutes and drain it after use... we are also weekend warriors that DO NOT get out as much as we would like . .
