Should I buy this wrecked travel trailer?

I found a 2015 Lance tt for less than $10k. I kept seeing something off about the kitchen. Someone replaced the cabinets and did so very poorly. I kept looking but it bugged me, I kept thinking "why?". Inspecting underneath I finally notice the rear 2 feet of one frame member is bent about 2" over and bumper was poorly welded back on. Looking further I can see the cracks in the fiberglass shell. So now I understand the rebuilt kitchen and little things broken here and there.

So, now that I know all this should I be concerned about buying it? Everything forward on that last 2 - 3' looks great. I can build custom cabinets to make up for the shoddy attempt some on made to fix. My real concern is will that small bent frame cause more issues down the road?

  • You have made a good decision... or, you could tell him to give YOU $10,000 and you will take it off his hands....
  • A dealer? Yes, they are liquidators and sell consignment RVs...but c'mon..even the most novice buyer should be able to see damage. Did you mention to the 'seller' your findings???? ...Dennis
  • The funny thing is we weren't even looking to buy. I was just browsing RV Trader to look at larger models to get an idea what I could comfortably trailer with my truck. I happened across https://www.rvtrader.com/listing/2015-Lance-TT-2285-5003994580 and thought wow that's a deal.

If it seems to good to be true it usually is.
  • So, that was quick and overwhelmingly negative!

Thank you for all the responses. I'll put that one behind me and the "dealer" as well.

Thanks again, I almost talked myself into it.
  • What kind of title does it have? If wrecked and insured it may now have a salvage title, depending on the state it is titled in. No I would not consider buying this unit.
    Good Luck
  • No and as far as not being honest I agree. I cant understand how some people be such low life.
  • No way I would. You don’t know what else might be wrong, and the seller sure isn’t honest enough to tell, you.
