spiders/insects getting into 5th wheel, common?

I thought they would be sealed a little better is all. I don't mind the spiders around here, they are harmless but I was thinking of snow birding it this winter, don't want to have to deal with those poisonous spiders down south! I would never spray inside but I would spray the ground around my site and around the outside of the slide and all Windows and doors. I do this at my stick house and It really helps. There are lots of spiders around here but I found about 6 in a two week period and I thought that was a little excessive is all. I have a nice little tiny one with a web above my shower in the skylight. He is Ok, I let him be because I notice the flying insects are attracted to the shower area for some reason. However the bigger ones I'm not so fond of.

I spray a powerful bug spray on the ground close to my tires and on my power cord. This really helps!!

Spiders happen. :) I'm sure you've found them in your home, too. Remembers one pregnant spider will give you hundreds of little ones but not all will survive, thankfully. They do grab some of those night bugs so they're not all bad. Just keep squishing and you might get a handle on it unless you're overrun with them. Personally, I wouldn't start spraying inside. Chemicals are worse than spiders. Good luck!

If it happens when stored, put pieces, say 4" or so, of flea collar in sp-ace under door, any opening like if slide has a gap when closed, etc. That has worked for us for years, but only when stored.

I've read good things about food-grade diatomaceous earth around the areas where crawlies can climb on.

Impossible to totally keep them out We have a new 5th wheel while storing it in our yard about 500 stink bugs found their way in....... fun to get those out......Took several hours & ruined a small vacuum.........

Insects rule the world.....they are everywhere :B

Occasional bugs come with the territory - not much different than your stick house.

Flying insects will get in any time you open a door. The crawly ones just find whatever tiny hole they can.

Ants, and probably other insects, like to crawl up the power cord. I spray it with Raid. I read a post the other day that said that Borax kills ants. They take it back to their nests. Haven't tried that yet.
