That reminded me... we use the heavy paper plates when possible, but - we also have plastic plates. When we have the thin paper plates we use them on top of the plastic plates as a "liner". That way we have a strong plate to hold food, and when done just throw out the paper plate and put away the (hopefully) clean plastic plate.
When we have the thin paper plates, but not plastic plate for a liner, I end up using about 6-8 paper plates at once for strength. This kind of defeats the purpose of buying the cheap paper plates to save money - which is another reason I usually buy the Chinette thick paper plates.
