Quick question from a real rookie. Planning a quick couple day drive to in-laws, not a pleasure drive, just point A to point B with a fifth wheel. If we stop in a rest area or parking area overnight...

I have spent many a night in ours without unhooking. If its pretty level and we are leaving early I just leave it hooked up. Sometimes I put the rear jacks dwon to stabilize the rear.
