good advice about keeping water it during the summer but i would not leave it in there during the winter it would freeze and break the line or the valve or could even crack the tank
I'd be hesitant to use straight windshield washer fluid for several reasons. First and foremost what makes it antifreeze is alcohol which is pretty hard on rubber. But just as importantly if you're leaving it in there for over-winter, in the open atmosphere the alcohol will evapourate pretty quickly, that's why on real cold days it leaves frost on you windshield, the alcohol evapourates and leaves the frozen water behind. You could end up with both wrecked seals and burst pipes.
