Starter kits are a courtesy from the dealer, not required. Although they are a nice little "token" gift, they are usually very inexpensive items, and just what they are intended for ... "starter". If you get one use out of any of it, you're lucky. Consider your "starter" gifts as samples what you need to get for your own style of camping. I've purchased 1 PUP and 3 different TT's now, and never got a water hose.
Perfect way to put it. Standard practice. The nice thing is, you'll be able to keep a lot, if not most, of the items you buy and transfer them to any subsequent new (or used) RVs. :)
