#2 - no. The only way I would pay a site lock if it included the ability to refuse the secondary site with a full refund.
#3 - no. I google earth the campground and read online reviews looking for preferred sites. I don't select just any old site.
#4 maybe. If I really want to be at a CG, I will call and see if there are are cancellations etc. If online says you're full, I'll go onto my next choice.
#5 yes. Groups are a special case and screwing it up can cost you future revenue.
