the 10 year rule, how common is it and how is it enforced

So far so good, mine is a 1992 so 21 years old and haven't been turned away yet. Hope that continues.

I've only heard one campground in CT that had the 10yr rule, I think they gave up on that policy when the economy went in the tank in 07.

Quite a few? Yikes! Years ago I almost bought one. I wonder why they would be banned, if they don't violate any age limit rules.

Well, I have only been around for a little over 70 years, and I disagree!
I know a couple who camp in an older cargo van. No, not a "party van" a CARGO van! They sleep in the van, and set up their camp kitchen outside to cook. They are nice people.
I know another guy who looks like someone you would cross the street to avoid. He is actually a "character actor" on tv, and a great guy.
Both of the above are members of our local Amateur Radio club.
On the other hand, I once lived across the street from a mother and daughter who had a nice little camp trailer. The trailer looked good, but the people were stereotypical "poor white trash".
I met a woman in VA a few years ago, who lived in a very nice mobile home in a nice park. I was nearly afraid of that woman! She was simply AWFUL in every way you can imagine!

I don't think the age rules in most cases are probably for the people as much as the camper. Whoever it was who got all offended and said you can't tell the people from the camper haven't been around enough or observant enough to see that most of the time, you can.

We have a seasonal and they have a 10 year rule for seasonals only, I have seen some campers from the 60's there

A very nice RESORT, with mature trees, gravel roads and sites, near the Snake River, with boating, fishing, free wi-fi, free cable tv, and many other amenities, including ROOM SERVICE!
That's right, just call the "Village Grill", order your meal, and it will be delivered to your RV on a golf cart! the prices are very reasonable.
It would seem that RESORT in the name does not mean it is an "uppity place".
No, they didn't ask the age of the RV I was in.

I have registration and proof of insurance i keep in the glove box right along with my trucks. I guess they could ask to see that for age verification.
