This is no joke....
The fact is that this sort of event is relatively common in vehicle accident profiles. A driver that is following traffic is often not paying enough attention to realize that the vehicle that he is following is stopped.
Please, take Wilma's unfortunate event as an object lesson. If you have to stop on a highway, be prepared to be hit from behind. I personally know of two deaths that happened this way and saw the reports of many others.
This always reminds me of the joke about the dog with a smashed up nose he got by chasing parked cars.... But this is not a joke.
