I have an EZ pro series and I don't think I paid more than $300 for it.

You might also being charged for installation?

I installed it myself. It's easy enough to install except that I have to relocate my generator tray so it took me half a day. I have to do some trial and error measurements to ensure straight up-line up level trailer and towing vehicle.
