X2. 4 kids now, all camped at an early age, and we've done the small tent method too. It works best in mild weather. Other than that, let them run around as they'd like, and keep them within view, off the road, and away from the waters edge. It helps to have Grandma and Grandpa along, or aunts and uncles so there's always an adult taking turns with the youngest ones.
