This is great advice. Our youngest started when she was 2 weeks old. It is good when they are young as they learn early what is going on and what is expected of them. Our two older kids just want to go run and play. The little one wanted to and got mad when we made her stay by us. She is now 4 and it is fine. You have to keep an eye on them but it is important to let them explore safely.
