We don't like places that other people say are great and we have found some out of the way places that we love. We are on the do at about 150 or 200 days a year, never make reservations and only found a full campground once in the last 35 years.
That's so awesome! Are you retired? We work remotely so we have to find a campsite to settle into with good internet or we are in a world of trouble come Monday. We also have been without a campsite three times now in three months.. you must have a much better picker!
One day we'll be free from reservations but for now, that's what works for us :)
