Actually, that is another blanket statement that is not quite true.
All Wheel drive older Subarus with manual transmissions are towable four down, but not on a dolly.
Jeep Libertys equipped with the combination (AWD/4WD) transfer case are towable four down, but not on a dolly.
Dodge trucks with the combination transfer case are towable four down.
As always, it pays to read the Owners Manual for the vehicle you wish to tow.
