No such thing as a dumb question. A hybrid is not considered a conventional travel trailer, but whether a hybrid or a regular TT, the frontal area remains the same. You will be overtaxing your minivan and will be seriously unhappy with its performance. Sorry; I won't lie and tell you "you'll be fine" with this combination. We towed our hybrid with a V6 SUV rated to tow 5000 lbs (GVWR of our HTT was about 4000, I think) and we had real problems just driving into a stiff headwind in the plains - couldn't go more than about 50 mph (on the interstate) and mpg dropped to 6. We knew we'd never be able to do mountains with that combo so we traded the SUV in for a truck. And our SUV was more tow-capable than your minivan.
