Im new to RVing and I have a 2001 weekend warrior with uvw4775# now I have a 2005 1500 HD with 6.0 and I am adding my Polaris Ranger am I over doing it for the truck ?

My buddy owned that trailer and we weighed it both on a CAT scale and with a tongue weight scale.

I think your truck will be great, especially now with 4.56 gears. The tow ratings for the 1500HD was something like 9000 pounds for 4.10 axle. You have about 2000 pounds of payload left I think.
