it would be interesting to know from those on the board that have a tpms
1) Has the Tpms ever warned you of a low tire or high temp and the result was the ability to stop, check change etc. the tire and not suffer a blowout
2) Have you ever had a blowout tread seperation or other catastrophic failure WITHOUT the tpms giving you ANY advanced warning?
3) have you ever had a blowout after the tpms gave you a warning and were unable to stop quickly enought to avoid a blowout?
Personally, after experiencing two low tires that I just happend to catch before a blowout, I now have a tpms. And both tires ended up with nail holes that lost enough pressure in only about 60 miles that they would have blown soon. I was just plain LUCKY that both cases occurred between two close rest stops and I happened to check the tires as always. Had I not stopped I suspect I would have suffered blowouts in both cases. Normally we go 200+ miles between stops.
