My favorite is using electric dish washer (liquid) soap on shower glass to break down all the calcium build up, and then follow with car wax. After each use of the shower, just squeegee down the glass and you won't have clean the glass for a year.
When stainless steel appliances started becoming the latest "craze" I never wanted anything with stainless. One finger print on stainless and the entire thing looks awful! Keeping them clean, especially if you have kids, is next to impossible. Yet, everyone loves the stanless look, and I guess the work to clean them too.
I can't see where your method using Windex and Cling wrap is any faster or any less work, but it is less expensive than buying stainless steel cleaners and a good alternative if you don't have any other way to clean it up.
I'm glad my refrigerator is NOT stainless steel. I worked in a hospital kitchen in 1974 though 1978 and clean a LOT of stainless steel. Had it all nice and shiny and immaculate, until the first person opened one of the freezer or refrigerator doors and there was a hand print.
Just FYI ...and then follow with car wax this in the above is the best thing for stainless steel. I use Turtle wax and you can't leave a finger print, unless your hands are wet or greasy. And then, just a quick wipe with a dry towel and it's gone.
Works on mirrors too!
