At least with my RV, the shower is more like a watering can than a forceful spray. I'm certainly not about to suggest that your son would necessarily find it comfortable, but at least be aware that it's not as forceful as most home showers and might be okay.
It sounds like an exciting and fun and challenging and wonderful and sometimes lonely time, all mixed together. I hope you're able find something that works out really well for you and you can make the most of the months.
