Well, it certainly sounds like you have the type of job that would allow you to work while on the road.
If the goal is to travel and move frequently or snowbird, then the RV seems like a good option.
I imagine you could save some money, in an RV, when compared to living in DC, NYC, San Fran, LA, etc. Of course there are many smaller towns, where that same money(or less) could rent an apartment or own a home.
If you go into it with the idea of saving money, you might not be so happy. If you go into it with the idea of living a mobile lifestyle, and maybe saving a little money, then I think you would do fine. It really depends on what you want to do.
