water filter

Hi again
I got so much valuable info on my last ? I have to ask another
I have a 2007 forest river Cherokee 27Q I bought in Dec
I'm getting ready to take her out for the first time
My paperwork says it has a 10/K water filter but I have looked everywhere for the placement of this
does anyone know where it might be?
thanks

Most likely it is near the water inlet. Our Hybrid TT it was in a storage cabinet behind a false wall, next to the pump. This was a whole house filter, something like this. Because of its location it was a pain in the butt to replace.

Our current Motorhome came with a kitchen sink only water filter. We don't use it, instead opt for a whole house filter like this. They are cheap, seem to be efficient and are easy to replace. Wal-Mart sells them for about $17.

You may want a secondary filter with that, 100 micron is pretty large particles, mine filters to .5 micron, it is pretty expensive though.

  • On our 05 and current Cherokee`s it is under the bathroom sink, behind the closeout panel. the water pump is under their too.
  • They pretty much stick them where ever they will fit.

My last trailer had one under the kitchen sink.

Current trailer has it right next to the water pump.
  • Mine was located in the sink base but was mounted to the countertop from below and so far towards the front of the cabinet that it wasn't easily identifiable. Clean out from under the sink and remove any drawers in the sink base. Get a good flashlight and follow the sink's cold water line backwards till you find it.

  • If it is for the drinking water faucet in the galley only, it could be located behind the draws.
