Disagree. There's some very sage advice on this forum and sometimes you need a "been there, done that" person to offer a point of view you might not have thought about. I'm one of those who's not afraid of being in a little debt, but those who have offered advice to buy cash if possible raise some valid points. These types of discussions allow for a lot of "what if" information. I don't think one should be criticized for decisions made but a little "I never thought about that" can be a good thing.
X2, never hurts to consider what others have done. Can often give you a new way of thinking. Trouble with cars, boats MH's. Sometimes they are impulse buys. Then the party ends up stuck.
Buy with emotion, justify with logic is often a very true statement
