Based on the original post I'm not sure whether you want to tow something or drive something. You say trailer or pop up but a Class B motor home might do it for you. MPG is typically sub-20 but not too much below that. The Benz-based diesels can average 17 MPG and have all of the comforts of home. Newer gasoline-powered Bs do a bit worse than that with similar amenities.
