we bought our first trailer 6 years ago, and haven't found a floor plan and features we like better.
And we haven't had any issues with the trailer after about 25K miles and using it around 120 days/year.
What would I do different. Well, thermopane windows is at the top of the list. I did poor mans thermopanes by getting lexan from tap plastic to make dual pane windows out of the windows that don't have openings. helps in the summer, helps in the winter especially with fogging.
Next would be ideally dual air, that wasn't an option on our trailer but has since been added. at least a 15K BTU unit. 35 ft is just to big for a single air unit.
and we REALLY do NOT like carpet in the living area. we have vinyl in the kitchen area, would prefer that in the living room. Bedroom with carpet is fine. But then we do most of our camping as dry camping in campgrounds with dirt/sand. And two grandkids that often join us.
But again, vinyl in place of carpet wasn't an option. and taking up the carpet would leave nice holes through the vinyl underneath.
And toss the OEM mattress. we did after about a month. Pick what you want, but get an aftermarket mattress. we love our air dream air over spring mattress. lots of options.
