Our first RV was a TT, which we dubbed "The Rolling Ritz" after the Ritz Carlton hotel.
Our second was a 1988 Hawkins Motor Coach. We named her "Sadie" after Sadie Hawkins in Al Capp's "Lil Abner" cartoon strip.
Our current RV is a TC, which we call "Topper," because it sits on top of our red Ford F350 (dubbed Red Ryder) and also because we love old movies, among them the Topper series including "Topper Takes a Trip." That's the name of our travel blog.
Regarding names, I used to own sailboats. When I bought a 40' Passport sailboat I spent a lot of time thinking about names for the boat and the dinghy. People often connect the names of the boat and the dinghy. One guy in my circle of boating friends named his boat "Good Vibrations." His dinghy was "Jiggles." Someone suggested I name my boat "Senility" and call the dinghy "What Dinghy?" I passed on that idea.
