WiFi - one computer at a time - common?

Parked at a campsite on our very first RV trip as a family! Yay!

We got an access code for the wifi (Tengo Internet) but each different computer that wants to use it has to "take over" the connection, so we can't all be online at the same time.

Is this normal/common for campsites? What do most people do who want to use a router or somesuch to share access?
  • I've seen some CG's with Tengo-Net that will give you more than one access code.....maybe your place will too????

I gave up on the CG WIFI sites some time ago - Check into the Verizon MIFI unit.

This works anywhere you can get Verizon Cell Phone service and will allow you to use up to five WIFI enabled devices all at the same time.

This is also a very secure and safe to use system setup...

We use all of our WIFI enabled devices, check our emails, pay our bills on-line, check in with the kids, and do some surfing the internet... If we really want to do some erious downstreaming for TV videos etc we can use the Millenicom 20GB MIFI setup that uses the same VERIZON NETWORK.

Might be something you may want to check into and forget the FREE CG WIFI setups for just one machine...

Just a couple of my thoughts

  • Usually just the ones you have to pay for.
Most CG/RV parks with FREE WiFi you can run more than one device on the system.
