Norco markets the X-Chock all over the world, not just in the US and Canada, and has used the term "parking brake" instead of "chock" in this note I illustrated which has been included in
every box of X-Chocks ever sold. Seemingly, some choose to ignore this warning anyway, perhaps because they don't understand that "parking brake" and "chock" mean the same thing ... or perhaps because they
think they know better than the manufacturer. :R
Old-Biscuit's claim notwithstanding the
fact is that tires shrink noticeably as they cool so any X-Chock installed even as much as an hour of arriving on-site will loosen to the point where they have no grip on the tires at all :E ... ergo the need for some additional method of actually
chocking the trailer so it
can't roll away.
