I consider myself a person of color, and I can tell you with authority, I do NOT camp where there's bear, or wolves. But, my wife and I love to travel in our Dutch Star. I also do NOT fly in airplanes unless I'm the pilot in command. Safety FIRST.
We do camp in the woods, and yes there are bear there, and we have heard the Wolves in the distance. I didn't tell them about the animals to scare them, just to let them know they are there. And truthfully. My work buds had no interest before they knew about the bears. That was just icing on the cake. My point is. the people of color I worked with care nothing about camping. Now, fishing is a whole nother story.
FYI. Where I live there are Bears, and coyotes. So it ain't like they are something new while camping
