Good Samaritan laws are in place in some form in every state to protect well meaning citizens. There are variations from state to state though. Vermont's Good Samaritan law for instance, is unique in that it REQUIRES citizens to render aid, while the other state laws are intended only to protect those that CHOOSE to render aid.
